GymRat is a basketball training app made by Gym Rat Hoops LLC ("GymRat," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to coach you and track your training — and nothing else. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

What we collect

• Account info — name, email address, and birthday (used to place players in an age-appropriate training tier), plus a password or sign-in credential.
• Training activity — the workouts you run and complete, skill-test results, challenge scores, streaks, and the stats that build your history (shots, dribbles, minutes).
• Team & coaching links — if you join a team or program with a code, your coach or program sees your name and training activity for their roster.
• Diagnostics — crash reports and basic technical logs so we can find and fix problems. These describe the app's behavior, not your personal life.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information — to anyone, ever.
• We do not show third-party ads or use advertising trackers.
• We do not collect your location.
• Voice commands (when enabled) are processed to control the workout — we don't store recordings of your voice.

How we use it

To run the product: build your workouts, coach you through them, save your history, show your progress, power team rosters for coaches, and fix bugs. That's the whole list. If we email you, it's about your account or your training.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on our servers hosted by cloud infrastructure providers (currently Railway) in the United States, and app updates are delivered through Apple, Google, and Expo's services. These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions.

Kids & parents

GymRat is designed and marketed for players 13 and up. A parent or guardian may create and manage an account for a younger player; the account belongs to the parent in that case. We keep data collection minimal for everyone, and player profiles are never public. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent involved — if you believe that has happened, contact us and we'll delete it.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and its training history from your Profile in the app, or by emailing info@gymrathoops.com from the account's email address. Deletion is permanent.

Payments

Subscriptions purchased in the app are processed by Apple or Google. We never see or store your card number.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app.
